Term Limits
The hard working and over-taxed American public is losing faith in the effectiveness of form letters, phone banks, and town hall meetings from their elected “representatives”. The gap between representatives and the represented grows steadily larger. Without a large donation, speaking directly with your representative is impossible. The purpose of a representative democracy as described in the Constitution is not being met. Elected officials, especially those in the House of Representatives, were intended to be present and available to the constituents they represent. The current system, which forces our representatives to physically reside in Washington D.C. for approximately 80% of each year, is the cause of this gap. (Read more about my views.)
2nd Amendment and Gun Rights
The right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right expressively granted in the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. This right has been further supported and upheld by the United States Supreme Court in numerous decisions. The right of Americans to keep and bear arms is critical for several different, but interrelated reasons... (Read more about my views.)
Immigration
Building bigger fences or providing larger gates of access will not create workable and reasonable immigration standards. Our current immigration issues are the result of over 60 years of failed and inconsistent policy. For too long the gates of access were kept open and now they are difficult to close.
Immigrants know that life in America includes competitive working wages, free public education for their children, and a long list of free social service programs. They are able to use these programs tax-free and many times the money received is funneled to the immigrants’ country of origin rather than into the American economy.
As with any complicated problem, the solution does not come in one simple step. There are a number of steps that will point this nation toward economic recovery and safety for our citizens.

Economy
America is currently dealing with an economic crisis unseen in over 70 years. Unfortunately, the President and Congress have chosen to drown out all voices of reason and economic improvement, and turn to the ones who want to grow the government through socialist ideals. They hide behind the term “reform”, but intentionally strong-arm for more government intrusion and control. (Read more about my views.)
Health Care
A free market health care system must be restored. The newly approved Health Care Reform Bill is an unacceptable violation of constitutional rights and gives the federal government complete control over the health decisions of Americans. It is a form of redistribution of wealth—a socialist system. It needs to be rejected and real work be done to bring down the cost and raise the quality of healthcare in this country.
Keys to accomplishing this goal are:
? Establish Medical Savings Accounts
? Deregulate the Healthcare Industry
? Remove Barriers to Safe, Affordable Medicines

Environment
I support a clean and healthy environment and sensible use of our natural resources. I believe private landowners and conservation groups have a vested interest in maintaining natural resources. Unaccountable governments do damage to our environment and have a terrible track record when it comes to environmental protection. Free markets and property rights stimulate the technological innovations and behavioral changes required to protect our environment and ecosystems. I realize that our planet's climate is constantly changing, naturally or unnaturally. Government is not the solution- the people are. (Read more about my views.)
Trade
I support the removal of governmental impediments to free trade, political freedom, and escape from tyranny. Individuals and goods should not be unreasonably constrained by government in the crossing of political boundaries. Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of humans as well as financial capital across national borders.
