I, John Burwell, pledge to the people of Texas and the United States of America, that when I am elected United States Representative of the 13th District of Texas, I will:

 
   Put GOD, FAMILY, COUNTRY, and the AMERICAN PEOPLE before all others.   
 
   I will cast a “nay” vote in favor of any bill or amendment that is strictly prohibited by the Constitution of the United States of America.

 

   I will not cast a vote in favor of any bill or amendment that will put more financial burden on the American tax payer or their children. The money you earn is yours, and you should choose how to use it, not those in government....
